“Yes you have to get up early. Yes it’s a long ride in the van and on the boat. Yes you might get seasick. They have dramamine, so take it if you think necessary. Yes Mother Nature is unpredictable with weather, waves, and wild animals. Yes, it’s an experience of a lifetime. A dozen or so whale sharks all around us. Humbling and magnificent. Whale shark season is over the summer months and we hit it right in the middle. Captain Nando, Jose, and our guide Dori NAILED it. Guides in water with you entire time. I understand conditions vary on every experience, but our day was 10/10. On ride…”

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 814 reviews · 50 minutes to 1 hour (approx.)

A private airport transfer from Cancun to Playa del Carmen with meet-and-greet, bilingual staff, bottled water, and a direct ride in about an hour.

“That airport security which is a scam told me he worked fo the airport which he didn't. I didn't have a company name on my ticket so I didn't know and got scammed at the airport. Don't listen to anyone there at Cancun airport. Wait for your driver. I usually book through a different company and will go back to do that. They told me they cancelled my reservation with viator. I was dumb I admit. But it would have helped to have a company name on the ticket. I paid close to 300.00 USD for a taxi. Stay strong as they are very convincing.”

“Took over 5 hours from pick-up to the first site, lots of time wasting! Too many extra cost that should have been in the initial cost, very deceiving. Bus had comfortable seats thank goodness, but the suspension you felt every bump. Couldn't hear guide over air-conditioning, which was freezing requested it be turned down several times. The first 3 sites were interesting but the Playa del Carmen we got there so late and it was just to get us to spend money.”

“The tour was okay. Pick up was around 7am, the expected pickup time was given a day before only roughly between 6.35-6.45am for me. They picked us from then did check in at Mexican outlet plaza la fiesta. 960 pesos was addition fee to pay for the tickets and conservation fee. The lady charged me 1008 pesos for some reason, no explanation or whatsoever. We spent more time at coba, could’ve been shorter after the tricycle ride. Cenote was so nice and lunch buffet was nice too. You have to pay extra for drinks. Playa del carmen was only 45mins so not enough time to see much. The return journey…”

Cancun 4x1 trip: Tulum sea views, climb Coba’s Nohoch-Mul, swim at Cenote Kuxtal, then hit Playa del Carmen for lunch and shopping.

“This was an okay trip. The were a few tour guides on board but only one guide spoke any English and he didn't say a work until almost 3 hours into the trip (3 English speaking on board). Tulum was canceled the day before yet we didn't find out until the time we should have arrived there. Spent too much time at shopping opportunities instead of exploring and learning about Coba. No free water given.”
